No I have no problem-I made a system image to restore windows. The question is, is a "repair" install for real as described in my original link as this is the only reference to a "repair" install on Windows 8I can find anywhere on the internet??

I always recommend creating a system image periodically for backup. But I bet they all actually lead you to the Refresh feature which some may call a repair. I mean a repair install as in Windows 7 which allows you to keep your programs and applications, and most drivers which the Refresh feature does not. You know I am talking about Windows 8. Microsoft doesn't mention it anywhere. The link I posted is the only mention of it for Windows 8 I have seen.
